About LOGO Guide Signs
LOGO Guide Signs are the eye-catching blue Specific Service Signs located on eligible highways that guide motorists to services such as gas, food, lodging, and camping. The signs show the exit numbers where those services are located. For businesses not visible from the highway, a directional ramp sign will guide drivers to each business.
Why LOGOS?
The primary benefit of using Logo signs is that a motorist will know which specific brand or providers of services are accessible from an interchange prior to exiting the limited-access highway. Travelers and potential customers will follow the widely recognized ‘blue signs’ to your business. Not only that, but the brand exposure gained with highway advertising is one of the least-expensive and most cost-effective ways to leverage your brand.

Types of Services
Services arelimited to gas, food, lodging, and camping. To qualify, services shall be open to all persons regardless ofrace, religion, color, sex, or national origin.
A business establishment, meeting the following criteria, may be considered for placement of a business or logo sign on a specific service sign panel.
Fuel Facilities
- Vehicle services, which shall include fuel (including alternative fuels), oil, and water.
- Modern sanitary facilities and drinking water.
- Continuous operation at least 16 hours, 7 days per week.
- Public telephone.
Lodging Facilities
- Adequate sleeping accommodations.
- Public telephone.
- State or local licensing or approval, where required.
- Modem sanitary facilities.
Food Facilities
- State or local licensing or approval, where required.
- Continuous operations to serve at least two (2) meals per day, 6 days per week.
- Public telephone.
- Modern sanitary facilities.
Camping Facilities
- Adequate parking accommodations.
- Modem sanitary facilities and drinking water.
- Adequate waste disposal.
Attractions
- Continuously operating at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, at least one of which shall be a Saturday or Sunday
- A tourist-oriented service of cultural, historical, recreational, or educational significance
- Complying with all federal, state, and local regulations, including licensing where required, pertaining to health, sanitation, accessibility, and safety
- Adequate parking accommodations
- Public telephone
- Conducted tours available or attendant on site
- Maximum distance of service: 3 miles (Not available in urban areas)
Distance to Services and Facilities
The maximum distance that eligible services can be located from the end of the exit ramp to qualify for a business sign should not exceed three (3) miles in either direction, except that within the 3-mile limit, services of the type being considered are not available, the limit of eligibility may be extended in 3 mile increments until one (I) or more services of the type being considered are reached. The maximum distance that these eligible services can be located from the main traveled way to qualify for a business sign shall not exceed fifteen (15) miles in either direction.

How many business logo panels can be displayed on one sign?
No more than six (6) business logo panels shall be displayed on any background sign.
How much do logos cost?
LOGO Mainlane Signs cost between $1,000 and $3,500 per year, and LOGO Ramp Signs cost between $175 and $775 per year. This cost is determined by the daily traffic count for your area. In addition to these annual fees, there is a startup fee for installation and printing.
How big is a mainline panel?
A mainlane panel is 48″ wide and 36″ tall.
What type of highway is eligible?
A controlled-access highway on the designated state highway system. These typically have on and off ramps and are grade separated.
Do I get to choose position and placement of sign assembly?
Panel position will be determined by a first-come, first-served basis of qualified applicants. In the event of multiple qualifiers, a lottery system for placement will be utilized.
Can I get a ramp sign without a mainline sign?
No, you must have a contract for a mainlane panel. Ramps signs are not contracted separately.
When is a ramp sign required?
Whenever the motorist must make a change in the original direction of travel in order to receive service. TxDOT does not allow ramp signs to be placed without a mainlane sign.
How long will it take for my LOGOS to be installed?
For new structures, it will take about six months from the day we receive your application to the date of installation. For existing structures, it will take about five weeks from the day we receive your application to the date of installation.
Do you offer screen printing?

What are the eligibility requirements for the EV (Electric Charging) snipe?
To be eligible to include the EV (Electric Charging) snipe to your Gas business logo:
- The facility is immediately adjacent to the signed conventional highway or lies on a roadway intersected by the signed highway;
- The facility is open to the general public while continuously operating for at least 12 hours per day, 7 days a week;
- The facility has an on-premise sign, visible to motorists, that clearly identifies the specific fuel(s) available at the facility;
- For cities with a population of 250,000 or more: be within a 1/2 mile of the eligible signed intersection;
- For areas with a population of 15,000-250,000: be within 1 mile of the eligible signed intersection;
- For area with a population of 15,000 or less: be within 2 miles of the eligible signed intersection;
- Facilities with Level 3 or higher electric charging stations must contain a cluster with 2 or more charging posts;
- **Level 1 and Level 2 charging stations do not qualify for signing
- The electric charging station is illuminated and includes regulatory signs that clearly identify the dedicated parking spaces for electric vehicle charging
